DSFDF painting

This is where I am in the DSFDF challenge next I will tackle the water.

Camera

I simply must get a new camera my 1.8 megapixels just will not do anymore. I mean they have digtal cameras that have 14megapixels with that I could take a corner out of a photo and still have detail to work with, so I'm on the hunt... new camera!

Value planing

I discovered this palette knife filter in Photoshop,so I turn my photo into b&w and move things about add a dog a bicycle take a person out then use the filter and I can see if the simple image in the grey scale pleases me all before I touch paint to canvas.

Old Man painting in progress

James parker has a site Windows to the Words and this is a painting for that site. As I was painting this I was thinking that when I was young (started oil at 15) I use to paint old folks all the time and now that I'm in my 50s I paint youth ,beautiful women and a world that is far far from dying.
