James parker has a site Windows to the Words and this is a painting for that site. As I was painting this I was thinking that when I was young (started oil at 15) I use to paint old folks all the time and now that I'm in my 50s I paint youth ,beautiful women and a world that is far far from dying.

Love older people too. So much knowledge and experience. We need to spend more time listening to them.
I know just what you mean it's rather scary painting the old. I remember at school drawing the veins on an elderly persons hands and I see them on mine now. That's Life.
This one is looking good, lots of character.
