A Walk 8x10 oil on canvas





Todays objective was to do a painting fast.I covered the 8x10 canvas in yellow acrylic and painted figure in acrylic(umber)let it dry,throw down some oil paint sap green ,sienna and red oxide mix it on the canvas with a rag then wipe away with q tips and the rag to get most of the image established then refine the painting with a small brush ,no medium was used.SOLD

I am simply stunned by how you worked this piece, David. For some reason, my inexperience had me thinking that you would lay in your backgrounds and keep moving forward, ending with the figure and his dog. I have so much to learn and I think this is one stunning painting. Can't believe you did this in an hour!

Just thought I should tell you that you have one piece you posted here that has stayed in my mind and continues to come to the forefront...It was the painting of the rider on the horse...I believe the background was dark green, the horse...whitish? You did a second painting that was similar not long afterward, but that first one has just stayed in my head. It is gorgeous and so memorable to me!
