Jeremy Lipking as James Mcneill Whistler via William Merritt Chase 8x10 oil on panel

My longest title yet . I saw a 1885 William Merritt Chase portrait painting of Whistler and I knew that Lipking(a favorite contemporary artist) was a Whistler fan so just for fun why not merge it all together.... "Jeremy Lipking as James Mcneill Whistler via William Merritt Chase and David Larson Evans".

Well, I had to read that three times....but I LIKE it, it certainly has 'presence' even without the title!

This is so great! I'm still laughing at the title. The orange background is so perfect for this subject within a subject...within a subject!
