Fresh Forrest 8x10 oil on canvas

It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

This is just so beautiful, David. I love the way the light is coming through the trees and I'm envying that woman wading in the large puddle. I can almost feel the mud squish between my toes.

How similar that "the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts" is that to a woman.
